Looks like Gator & Wildcat Blue to me, right?
On a quest for the perfect tennis or boat shoes to go with jeans, shorts, sundresses, whatever (classic Converse is decidedly unflattering when you’re 5’5 and wear a size 9). These are adorable and come in lots of colors (gameday possibilities are looking good). Loving Target’s Sandi canvas boat shoes too: http://www.target.com/c/women-shoes-loafers/-/N-5xtcv
Yes we can.

Funny and, albeit somewhat dramatized, true. I’m definitely number 27.

So far, 2012 is off to a pretty great start - I guess we’ll see how National Signing Day goes tomorrow and make our own assessments after that.
In the spirit of creating new traditions (and being a better blogger), I wanted to share some of my favorite finds in the past month - well, one is from December 2011 - because I think they’re awesome. Here goes:
Best pinner to follow on Pinterest - Southern Mommas:

If you love all things Southern, DIY, party-related, etc. this is a great one-stop shop.
Best fashion blog - Atlantic-Pacific:

Every single one of my outfits that I’ve received multiple compliments on is an attempt to copy Blair Eadie. This chick can layer and is my new favorite stylist.
Best house ideas - it’s tied - Lonny Mag and Houzz:
Pretty much plan on accomplishing nothing if you look at either of these while at the office.
Best recipe ideas - My Fridge Food:
What? Are you serious? Awesome. Thanks AF and AVS!
The depression is starting to set in, it’s really almost over: only one more evening of college football and 4 more weeks of the NFL. No matter how much our household prepares for it we can never shake that melancholy mood that takes over when we realize that we have 7 months that are completely void of football. March Madness and the College World Series are fun but neither compares to that giddy feeling I start to get in August when the season ticket commercials start airing. Each season ends with a little sadness and a lot of fun memories. The stories of the season past and the speculation for the upcoming year keep us going. The recruiting conversations started over dinner last month and should go pretty strong until signing day. Some years it has gotten really bad. I distinctly remember watching high school football one August evening in 2009 and will also admit that I’ve watched my husband play college football video games on more than one occasion. I think having a child has softened the blow for the past couple of years - bigger things to focus on.
So, as we approach the end of this season, I wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported Twelve Saturdays in our inaugural year. We are, of course, already looking excitedly to next season with the addition of new schools (the entire ACC, Texas A&M and Missouri, Notre Dame) and new lines - and will be adding inventory all year - super cute Judith March green and white seersucker coming in April! Please keep your suggestions coming and continue to check us out throughout the year. I’ll be posting all of our new stuff as it comes in =)
Enjoy the last game!
Regardless of the article’s content, this is my favortie headline so far:
GUS MALZAHN TO ARKANSAS STATE: WTF?
The funny observations of Clay Travis from OutkicktheCoverage.com. Published on November 3, 2011.
Tigers and Tide (and everyone else of course) - be careful and have fun this weekend! We’ll all be watching.
Thank you, Pinterest for bringing wonderful new ideas and places to me everyday! I’m not much of a jello shot person but since they’re great for tailgates (pending that you’re 21 and responsible, of course), I present to you a site dedicated, “to form a more perfect union of gelatin and alcohol.”

They also get my vote for one of the greatest names ever.
Happy tailgating!
